A little over 5 years ago I won a photoshoot with Grinkie Girls when a won a burlesque competition for new performers. I was a new performer, so I needed promo photos bad, but I couldn't afford them at the time so winning the photoshoot was meant to be. How amazing is it that Grinkie Girls donated sessions to new performers that would win those shows? Anyway, When I arrived I didn't know what to expect, and wow was I impressed. Christi's team did my hear pinup style, and to this day it is my favorite style that has ever been done on me, I wish I could re-create it. She also provided a lot of options for clothing and shoes in addition to many different themed backgrounds, which I was not expecting. Aside from the great experience on site, to this day, those photos are some of my best promotional photos (and I've had MANY photo shoots since).
Fast forward five years, I recently scheduled another photoshoot with Christi and her team. Again, the experience was outstanding.
I have had really great experiences with many photographers in the Twin Cities, however Christi with Grinkie Girls by far stands out with the overall photo experience, professionalism, quality, and speed of getting prints back. Not only is her quality top notch, but being around her and her team is an absolute pleasure. I felt so welcomed the entire time, and her kindness shines through her every movement throughout the entire session. I would say Christi is a bright light with a beautiful smile, and warm energy that you can feel from across the room.
A few things I want to point out that I think Christi does that stands out from other photographers in the Twin Cities is her inclusiveness and professionalism. I am queer, and I felt not only accepted in her studio, but celebrated. She provides an atmosphere that supports oppressed communities, and also donates to many organizations to help support said communities along with performers in general. Christi is a true artist, and it seems as though she does her best to uplift others around her. So, if you are looking for an ethical photographer in addition to quality, Grinkie Girls is where it's at. 10/10 recommend, so save up those coins so you can book a shoot with Christi!
