I participated in one of Christie's pop-up shoots that she had in Bismarck, ND. I'm so grateful she travels for shoots because it gave me the opportunity to do another photoshoot with her after having first visited her studio in 2017.
I remember leaving the studio in 2017 feeling beautiful, strong, sexy, and owning my womanhood--feeling confident and pretty for me, not to impress anyone else. It's a feeling I jumped at the chance to replicate 5 years later. Doing this shoot in 2022 it was a completely different experience--it was even better! It was wonderful reconnecting with Christie at a different point in our lives.
I was more comfortable going into this experience having done it before and knowing how great I felt afterwards. Christie has learned more and studied her craft as a photographer. Putting it all together was magical. I would definitely recommend doing a Grinkie shoot if you're able to.
It's much more than looking pretty and taking a few photographs. It's a transformative experience where you see yourself in a new light--where you feel you can take on anything with a cat eye and a fierce pose! Shout out to Livi for making me look so fierce, Al the car guy for letting complete strangers borrow his beautiful car, and Derrick for helping keep the sun at bay to make me look good.
